Surface treatments
Galvanizing




Protects steel from corrosion by creating a barrier, often electrochemical. White, yellow, etc. zinc plating.
Hard anodic oxidation
Surface treatment , electrolytic or chemical, which deposits a layer of nickel on metallic materials.
Neutral anodizing
Specific treatment for aluminum, which creates a protective oxide layer, improving resistance and allowing for custom coloring.


Phosphating
Creates a protective layer, useful for painting or lubrication.


Nickel plating
Electrochemical process that creates a thick and resistant layer of aluminum oxide ensuring exceptional surface hardness, high resistance to wear, abrasion and corrosion.


Burnishing
Chemical surface treatment that gives a dark color and improves resistance to corrosion and wear.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating
It is a carbon-based coating that combines the hardness of diamond and the lubrication of graphite.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition)
Vacuum coating technology that deposits very thin metal films (a few microns) on the surface, significantly increasing hardness, resistance to wear, scratches and corrosion.
Impreglon
Engineered industrial coatings for metals and plastics. They improve surface performance with anti-wear, anti-stick, anti-corrosion, and dry lubrication properties, with treatments tailored to every need. Examples include Chemcoat 1001 and others.
Lapping or Stoning
Specific sanding technique for metal surfaces for pieces or components that require a specific finishing characteristic with a perfectly smooth surface, for the best possible efficiency and functionality.
Shot Penning
Cold mechanical treatment that improves the characteristics of metal surfaces. It is performed by a controlled flow of metallic abrasive material launched at high speed and force, causing mechanical work hardening of the material's surface.
Chrome plating
Hard chrome plating, or galvanic chrome plating , is a process of applying a chromium coating to a metal part. It significantly increases wear resistance.

Normalization
Heat treatment that consists of heating the steel above the austenitization temperature, maintaining it at this temperature and cooling it in air, to uniform the crystalline structure.
Annealing
Heating to a high temperature followed by slow cooling (often in a furnace) to soften the metal, improve its workability, and reduce stresses.
Rapid and locally limited heating. Allows targeted hardening of specific areas of the component.
